Maybole's Heritage on display
Maybole has never had a dedicated space for people to learn about the town’s heritage. Even when Rev. Roderick Lawson was Minister here during the Victorian Period, he said there should be somewhere for visitors to enjoy our rich history. We want change that with the new heritage space in Maybole Castle.
The heritage room will be a dedicated space to showcase artefacts and interpretation panels about Maybole’s Boot and Shoe Industry, the weaving industry, some figures from the past and much more.
It is hoped that the display will be changed on a regular basis and be a mix of traditional and modern display and interpretation making use of technology to bring some stories to life in innovative ways.
There will also be the opportunity to learn more about the Castle itself and see some of the incredible work that went into its renovation.
